Introduction
Thankyou for taking part as a judge in the 2001 Consensus IT Writers Awards. If you took part last year we hope you find the new format easier to work with. We welcome your suggestions for further improvements. We recommend that you download the blank worksheet as a PDF, and then print copies as required, or if you prefer, cut and paste the form as reproduced below. Please submit or email your completed voting form(s) to us no later than 16 February 2001.

Judging procedure
We have found by experience that the following procedure will speed your deliberations.

1. Read through all of the entries in your assigned category in the order listed on the web at least once before attempting to score an article.

2. On the second reading use the supplied marking sheet to record your notes and scores for each article against each of the listed judging criteria.

3. After completing the second reading total the scores for each article and rank the articles according to the aggregate scores.

4. Compare and consider the relative positions of the articles and adjust the ranking based on your overall assessment and professional judgement.

5. Complete the voting form for the category by starting with the number one (1) as your highest score numbering each entry through to your lowest score (highest number).

6. Add your judges ID number and your own security number, save a copy of the form for your records, and submit the form.

We recommend that you download a copy of the worksheet
