Julian Day, Consensus Managing Director of Consensus said, “We are again extremely pleased with the high number and quality of nominations received this year. The awards always attract immense interest and are well recognised throughout the IT industry. IT writers are a rare breed of media beast, so the fact that so many nominations have been received this year shows terrific enthusiasm for their work.

Julian Day, Managing Director, Consensus Awards
In presenting the awards, Riordan Maynard said, “It is a pleasure to be invited to support these awards, to be here tonight and have the opportunity to meet the “real” voice of the IT industry in Australia. We join with you to recognize some of the most exceptional IT writing talent in the country today. "The industry relies on the media to bring new technologies to the attention of business and the public. These awards recognize not only their skill and talent but also their contribution to the information technology industry.”

About Touchbase
Touchbase specifies, implements and supports world class technology applications and platforms, specialising in CRM and contact centres, unified communications and converged voice and data solutions.
Touchbase
works on the simple premise that to realise return from any technology
investment, it must be linked to tangible business objectives and constantly
measured against them. With
this in mind, it adds value to clients in three interdependent ways - commercial
expertise, which is knowledge of it’s client’s business and the application
of technology in their specific industry; technical excellence, a deep
understanding of the applications and platforms that it supports; and best
practice, a unique tried and tested approach that is applied to every project
undertaken.
A coveted Platinum Business Partner with world leading manufacturer Avaya, Touchbase works with over 500 clients - including 45% of the largest global organisations (Business Week, 2002) - to help them to drive greater value from technology investment.
Since foundation in 1992, Touchbase has now grown exponentially, and now has full capabilities across Australia and Europe - with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Auckland, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, Madrid, Dublin, Manchester and Cork.
