Product Description
There are six (6) products that are designed, developed and marketed by IQMS Pty Limited. Together they form the suite of software called i know.

i know from IQMS is market leading Integrated Quality/Process Management software.

The product is Intranet deployed and highly configurable, facilitating extremely flexible information delivery and deployment without the need to be a programmer

The entire thrust of IQMS i know is to provide you with a software application that describes how you do business.

i know, controls the organisation's documented Management System and much more. Organisational resources, including the relationship between resource and control, the feedback mechanisms and integrity of the management system are all functions undertaken.

Once the organisation has been described, the organisation is brought alive through the power of the INTRANET.

i know is the only complete suite of software in the market that caters for all the requirements of Integrated Management Systems and ISO 9000/2000, utilising the latest Browser based technology as the deployment mechanism.

i know operates in the Microsoft Windows NT ™ environment, utilising Internet Information Server™ (IIS) as the Web Server engine and either Microsoft Jet 32, SQL Server 6.5™ or SQL Server 7.0™ as the database platform. In March 2000, i know will be released on the ORACLE™ database platform.

i author
i author is a software tool used to create and capture the process definition in a flow chart format together with all descriptive text.

No longer is there a requirement to flowchart the process and then separately document the process in a word processing package. Previously the risk of the two files losing synchronicity was too great.

i author puts it all together in one logical place. The flowcharting interface facilitates the visual description of the process whilst all text and process attributes are stored in a database.

i author generates a completely formatted document of the process, delivered either as a Microsoft Word™ document or a HTML web page live to the organisation's Intranet!

This adds a new dimension to developing Process based documents, as the underlying text and attributes of the process can be maintained as database records. The power of inquiry across all processes in the organisation is very powerful. Enabling management to see at a glance common elements in processes along with their defining attributes.

Over 5 years ago, i control was released into the Quality Assurance market place as a Quality Manager's helper. It was designed to assist in the day-to-day maintenance of ISO based management systems.

Because IQMS was originally built for ISO based systems, it has a solid heritage of knowing what Integrated Process Management Systems are all about. From the beginning, the product was built to go beyond the boundaries Quality Management.

i control is about you and your organisation. The database and application are extremely flexible, enabling you to recreate your world under the i control umbrella of sound management principles.

i control is the database administration module of the i know suite, enabling you to establish and maintain a representation of your organisation utilising your terminology.

i control is a product that is malleable and powerful, providing a simple interface to very potent technology with sophisticated database management for your business.

i control reconciles the organisation's resources with the way the organisation operates.

What makes the i know suite of products distinct from competitive products? Multiple management systems can be overlaid in the same database or, should your systems be totally integrated, a single system of control can be implemented. It's all up to you!

The i control module allows you to map the physical resources of the organisation (employees, groups, titles, locations, customers, suppliers, products, services, equipment, contracts and sub-contractors) to the Management System capital that you have already documented.

The result is a PUSH technology where, via the Intranet delivery module of i see, resources are connected to relevance and consequence. So, if a document changes that has an impact on any linked resource, i control knows what to do. The new information is PUSHED out to the effected resource with many system controls activated.

i control is the nerve centre of the database and the master control mechanism for the entire i know suite of products.

i publish
i publish significantly amplifies the uniqueness of the i know suite!

Once we had decided that the distribution system to end users was to be via the Intranet, i publish was developed from the ground up to maximise the benefits of this delivery mechanism.

i publish, as a module of i know, allows the administrator to deliver the required information to people via their desktop Web Browser.

We have highlighted the "administrator", because you do not have to be an Intranet HTML programmer or Web Master to use, and make i publish do what you want. A simple Windows™ application takes care of all the hard work, you just point and click at what you want, where you want it and how you want it to look….whatever "it" is!

The purpose of i publish is to deliver the content of the i control database to end users.

i publish mobilises all of the information contained in the i control database across LAN and WAN systems, giving the end user an interface that is WEB driven.

i publish introduces technology that delivers full database control into WEB based pages, allowing live database updates and full database connectivity to be delivered to anyone who is on-line and communicating with i control.

Changes to the "look and feel", the menu structures, the security applied on the WEB pages and the adaptability of the terminology used on the WEB pages, is all controlled by the i publish module.

Not only does i publish deliver the standard i control based components to the WEB, it also allows the user to create web pages and elements that are not related to i control in any way.

Everything that you see on the WEB pages of i see, is controlled by i publish. It is a product that is one of a kind, implementing fantastic possibilities for anyone with imagination!

i capture
i capture is a new database design component which collaborates with existing i know software. It has been designed as an easy to use, drag-and-drop style application, which completely alleviates the headaches of coding and scripting normally associated with database design and deployment.

In fact, it is so innovative, we believe that nothing like it has not been done before in the world!

There is no doubt that the WEB is a great delivery mechanism. WEB based products are extremely network friendly because they only load small packets of data each time a request is made by the Browser.

The intent of i capture is to provide you with a way of designing and deploying database applications on your intranet website.

Everyone has small databases that do specific functions. Usually, the small databases that are created are there to fill in the gaps in the big databases. And many people utilise spreadsheets to achieve similar results.

Having small databases is not the problem. The problem is the execution of these databases across the LAN and across the WAN.

Even a small ACCESS™ database will be incredibly slow across a normal WAN and while one user is updating the database, no others can get access to it.

i capture was developed to facilitate the creation of web enabled databases. Once the database is created, i publish deploys the entire input, search, edit and delete functionality to the end user, through dynamically created WEB pages. Security permissions can be attached at any level and maintenance can be carried out on-line, with the appropriate access permissions.

The database functionality in i capture is as you would expect. i capture supports all of the common data types, field lookups, table lookups, check boxes, append tables and master/ child tables ( commonly known as form and sub-form tables), just to name a few.

Not only does i capture allow you to create database applications, it also allows you to make full use of other information contained in other ODBC compliant databases, including all of the resource information contained in the i control database.

This minimises data redundancy and the inefficient need for re-creating database information in secular and unrelated ways. Today's database designers are focusing on the re-use of information, not the creation of more information.

Not only is i capture able to create specific database applications, it is used in i control as the workflow creation and data capture environment.

Workflow Issues and Tasks are created in i capture, facilitating the ability to capture any or all information in relation to an issue or task that must be completed, arising from the issue.

i capture works on all of our database platforms, making it incredibly powerful on the SQL server platform.

The i capture interface is not an unfamiliar one to learn. Basic database, table and field definitions are created in a format that are common to most database applications.

Anyone who has created, and or used, a database product like Microsoft's Access™, will learn, in a very short time, how to use i capture.

As already mentioned , i capture is tightly integrated with i publish and i control, making it an exceptional utility to assist in the deployment of database applications across the network.

Don't forget that the interface for i capture is the WEB browser. People do not have to be taught another database application. The WEB is the consistent delivery mechanism.

The World Wide Web was originally created as a way of sharing information without regard to geography. The technologies that have been developed over the course of the Web's existence have all advanced this goal.

Many of the solutions that exist when it comes to WEB based reporting, share one common weakness - their output format is HTML.

With HTML, there is nothing you can do with the data. It is in a static format and extraction from this is beyond the average user. If you want to work with that data, you have to re-key it, or cut and paste it bit by bit. Or, maybe you could write a program that would parse the data out of the HTML. Not very useful!

Most web reporting "solutions" provide interactivity and access to the data through ActiveX Controls or Java Applets.

While these devices can allow some functionality such as drill-down and advanced charting, the problem remains, the data is bound to the delivery mechanism. There is no way to get the data out, and no way move it over into a Word™ document.

Enter i report; the first application to make the logical merger between desktop applications that are used every day and the Internet.

i report lets you take advantage of both developers' and users' knowledge of Microsoft Excel™ and Crystal Reports™ when delivering data over the Web.

Developers, when creating reports, have access to all of Excel and Crystal's™ functionality (over 160 functions and formulas, charts, pivot tables, graphs) to create the most logical way to present the data.

Usable data in a usable, familiar format, delivered over the Web….that's i report.

i report is a module of the i know suite that is designed and developed by IQMS The power of the Excel and Crystal products have been included into i know through the i report module.

i see
i see is what we call the browser interface to the WEB pages that i publish provides. It is referred to as i see because everything that is in the i control database, is seen by the user in the i see module.

Another way of looking at it is, that the i see module is actually the Internet Browser product that you use. This might be either the Microsoft Internet Explorer™ product of the Netscape Navigator™ product.

All of these modules enhance the power of what i control is all about and they all deliver whatever you design them to, through the ultra modern interface of i see. i see is technically the best way to deploy database applications because of the control it gives to the IT infrastructure department of your organisation.

All databases reside on one server and all programs and scripts run from one server. Of course, the setup of the suite can distribute the load of processing across multiple machines, but essentially, IQMS makes the IT management very straightforward and extremely easy.

Remember the catch cry, "if you want something delivered to your people, use i see to get it there!"

i publish is the module that activates and displays all of the web pages into the browser of choice. i see is closely integrated with all of the other modules. Whatever is created in any module, is deployed directly over the WEB to the user!
