Bookmaster/Powermaster Powermaster and Bookmaster are two industry-specific faces of a comprehensive distribution and financial ERP. In addition to the core distribution and financial functionality both include an integrated Warehouse Management system, integrated e-Commerce and Business Intelligence, with an integrated CRM in development.
Powermaster incorporates a number of industry-specific modules for consumer electronics distributors and Bookmaster does the same for publishers.
Together these solutions form a new breed of application - an SLD (single logic & data) business system. An SLD provides one centralised source for all an organisation's data and business logic, and these can be accessed by multiple applications - in this case the distribution and financial ERP, Business Intelligence, e-Commerce, Warehouse Management and Customer Relationship Management. Powermaster incorporates industry-specific modules for consumer electronics distributors (eg warranty and service, rebates, PSI) and Bookmaster incorporates book-specific modules (eg royalties, academic sales, book production, subscriptions). Powermaster can use Bookmaster modules, and vice versa, because they are essentially the same product.

Innovation
Both Bookmaster and Powermaster have industry-specific and unique
modules that give a distinct business advantage to their customers. TMS' policy
is to incorporate modifications into the core system, with the result that
virtually all customers around the world use the same core system meaning it is
cheaper and easier for them to keep up to date with new releases. They are
comparatively easy and inexpensive to implement so they provide a rapid return
on investment.
The next generation is being built using a centralised database and set of business rules, using build once use everywhere technology, and the product is being converted into java and associated tools over the next 3 years to provide a database and platform independent solution. The centralised database and business rules mean all systems that are part of the program suite (warehouse management, e-commerce, business intelligence, CRM, ERP) use the same logic and data so they provide accurate consistent results in real time.

Powermaster is the leading software package in the Australian Consumer Electronics market - customers include Pioneer, Sanyo, Makita, JVC, Minolta, Daewoo Electronics, Blanco, Dimplex, Timex, Kenwood and GE. It is used by Panasonic Holland and has great potential in the USA, Europe and the UK.
TMS currently has agents in New Zealand (sales agent), Netherlands, USA, UK and S. Africa with an office in Singapore to help drive both produstc internationally.
We collaborate closely with the IBM plant in Rochester and are an IBM Premium Software Developer.

Harvard, Yale and MIT University Presses have just gone live with a combined distribution centre driven by Bookmaster, using the integrated warehouse management system to drive sophisticated pick to light and material handling equipment.
The most sophisticated warehouse in the Australian book industry, at Macmillan, also uses Bookmaster, and the largest publisher in South Africa, with almost 50% of the total market, has just purchased Bookmaster.
Powermaster is on a short list of two packages for worldwide implementation (13 countries) at a major well-known consumer electronics company.
