Brief product description

MizziSoft's Workforce Management System is an integrated labour management package with several modules consisting of a Planning, a Scheduling/Rostering, Shift Generator/Optimiser, Time and Attendance, and a Staff Access Module.  Organisations such as Casinos, Hospitals and Airlines, which run 24-hours by 7 days operations are getting great benefits from the software for labour management.

The planning and scheduling/rostering technology is an essential tool for any organisation wishing to minimise labour costs and capitalise on labour resources for the future.  Its flexibility enables users to meet the ever-changing face of workforce management globally.

The Shift Generator/Optimiser was designed specifically to meet the complexities and operational related issues facing the airline industry's ground handling staff.  MizziSoft Workforce Management Systems interfaces with external Flight System to get data about flight schedules, aircraft loadings etc.  The Shift Generator/Optimiser looks at flight patterns and flight passenger loads to determine exactly what tasks need to be performed and when, and the number of staff required to perform the tasks. The result is the generation of shift patterns to suit workload, and correct staff numbers with the skills to handle the workload, as well as getting the most cost effective mix of full-time, part-time and casual employees.

On the Day of Operation MizziSoft is fed real-time information through the interfaces and can update task allocations when flights are delayed or rescheduled.

The System is designed as a multi-tier Thin Client architecture, which uses a centralised database while the users can be logged-in from a remote site without requiring high capacity networks.  The Thin Clint consists of a client, an Application Server and a Database. The Application Server will query, retrieve and process the information and send only the completed results back to the client. MizziSoft also offers a Staff Access to MizziSoft (SAM) module that allows employees access to some part of the system.  SAM can be set up to allow employees to access and print their work schedules or apply for leave, swap shifts and make changes to their employee details such as phone number and addresses.

Innovation

MizziSoft Workforce Management Systems is at the forefront of Rostering System development in the world.   It is used by corporate that requires optimised rostering for large numbers of employees.

First MizziSoft developed the Floor Plan Logic as part of the Rostering Module to allow Casinos to allocate the relevant staff numbers on the Gaming Floor.  From the Floor Plan Logic a MizziSoft user can produce a report that shows the staffs exact shift allocation such as table location, staff rotation in gaming pits and task for a particular shift.  MizziSoft was the first software package for scheduling in Casinos that had the Floor Plan Logic and is now used by Casinos in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and USA.

Next MizziSoft developed the software in a thin client version to allow large corporate business like airlines that has one centralized database and many decentralized sites to use the software.  This has now been taken one step further and MizziSoft Workforce System is now web-enabled and an ASP model is being beta tested as the moment.

Within the last 18 months MizziSoft has developed a Shift Generator/Optimiser module which is the ultimate tool in dynamic rostering technology.  Initially developed to cater for the Airline Industry's complex rostering requirements and operational related issues, it has been adapted for other Industries with a similar requirement to their Workforce Management Systems.  The Shift Generator/Optimiser programs looks at the expected Load such as number of flights, the passenger and baggage/cargo loads and from that information generated Tasks.  These tasks can be broken down to 5minutes interval, from the Tasks the system generated the most optimized combination of shifts including full time, part time and casual shifts.

On the day of operation MizziSoft can regenerate tasks based on flight delay, interruptions or any activity where employees can be re-utilised efficiently, based on the demand of operations.  This helps eliminate idle time between tasks.

The package allows organizations to reduce labour costs by allocating employees more efficiently.

MizziSoft is developed in Progress 4GL which makes it platform independent.
