Product Description
Powermaster & Bookmaster are two faces of an integrated ERP/Enterprise Management System. Powermaster is designed for distributors and manufacturer/distributors, Bookmaster is a version specific to publishers.
Both incorporate integrated distribution, financials, warehouse management, business intelligence, e-commerce and DRP, with CRM to be released in June 2002. Powermaster also incorporates integrated manufacturing, including MRP, and specialised modules such as rebates and warranty & service.
Bookmaster incorporates publishing specific modules such as subscriptions, royalties, book publishing, academic sales and direct mail. Both are 100% developed by TMS and are delivered as a fully integrated solution by TMS.

Bookmaster is an industry-specific solution for publishers and distributors and is one of only two worldwide packages for this industry. It includes a number of unique features and modules such as Academic Sales. It is the only book industry specific ERP to incorporate integrated warehouse management, e-commerce, business intelligence and CRM (due June 2002).

Both versions of the system have significant commercial success.
Bookmaster is used in more countries worldwide than any competing solution in its niche, is one of the top two worldwide by number of customers and is a strong market leader in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and South Africa. It is used in 14 countries and has major customers such as HarperCollins, Pan Macmillan, Butterworths (7 countries), Pearson Education (4 countries), McGraw-Hill (4 countries), Thomas Nelson (4 countries), Harvard, Yale, MIT, Columbia and Johns Hopkins University Presses and many more.
Powermaster is used in Australia and Europe by by major companies like JVC, Hagemeyer, Panasonic, Sanyo, Pioneer Electronics, Minolta, Maxell, Smeg, Daewoo Electronics, Makita and Solectron Global Services.
Because both are comprehensive integrated systems they are easier and more economical to implement that competing ERP systems. Of the last 26 sites to be implemented by TMS, all but 3 have gone live on schedule, with the longest delay being one month.
TMS has succeeded against major opposition, replacing JD Edwards at Sanyo and Thomson Singapore, replacing Oracle Financials at Butterworths Australia and winning against SAP at Sanyo, Macmillan, Struik Publishing, Nasionale Boekhandel, Pearson New Zealand and HarperCollins.
