Product Description

Today’s business environment demands tight control over all aspects of project planning and execution as well as flexibility, speed, scalability and cost effectiveness to ensure all project benefits are delivered.

Omniscope is the software solution an organisation needs to plan, govern, control, communicate and successfully deliver its projects.

Omniscope is a project management & communication tool that streamlines ALL project related activity and significantly reduces costs and effort of project management and running of project offices.

Omniscope is about pro-actively managing projects on a day-to-day basis. Integrating with MS Project, Omniscope will accommodate and support established business processes. It will provide instant status summaries and will send automatic alerts about significant events via email.

Now there is no more need to maintain a host of Gantt charts, Word or Excel documents as separate issue logs, risk registers, tasks sheets, time sheets or change control registers.

Planning, resource allocation, risk management and issue management, change control, task tracking, and time capture or ANY other user defined items are all captured, tracked and reported within the one corporate knowledge management system – Omniscope.

Each project stakeholder is presented only with personally relevant information, and the system affords a simple, effective way of enabling communication between all involved parties.

Omniscope provides a consolidated line of sight across any and all projects, allowing for simpler, more effective status reporting, early trouble-spot identification and mitigation.

With its configurable profile based security, information can be safely shared with all stakeholders

Omniscope is suitable for any organisation which runs projects or project based services, in small or large teams, working jointly or separately, in one or many locations.

Innovation

Omniscope is innovative, not only for the features it offers to end users, but also for the internal architecture on which it is based.

In providing a single, consolidated project management system, Omniscope has to cope with a large quantity of information, and has to make that information available to end users in manageable, relevant chunks. To this end, Omniscope provides an innovative and exceptionally powerful “slice-and-dice” mechanism for reporting and data retrieval throughout the system.

Currently available products tend to focus on a particular type of project data exclusively. For example, there are products that deal solely in activity planning, or products that serve as problem logs. Omniscope provides a single, streamlined management system for all the information an organisation may wish to capture.

Unlike most other products in this space, Omniscope is not exclusively focused on project planning. Omniscope is there to support its users throughout the project cycle, from planning, to execution to learning. It is configurable to the particular business methods and practices of each organisation.

Omniscope also stands out for its Offline Module. This allows users to work disconnected from the main database server and synchronise data at a later stage. However, the Offline Module goes way beyond normal Offline Systems. Omniscope Offline allows any two Offline users to exchange information. It is even possible to connect two or more Offline computers into a mini “offline” network.

Internally, Omniscope is based on Think Software’s UUL software architecture standard. This is in itself a highly innovative software development framework and toolkit that has allowed the rapid and robust development of Omniscope.
