Product Description

infraActive is a packaged application that enables organizations to deploy comprehensive customer service management and business processes entirely across the Web, with a minimum investment in infrastructure.

Infra has utilized innovative Web technology to deliver a product that provides an unique, open user experience within a 100% Web architecture. infraActive additionally supports a customisation methodology that dramatically increases the applicability of the product to other market segments, including:

·         IT infrastructure support (incident & problem management, change management, configuration management etc.)

·         Inbound customer support call centres (case management, dispute tracking, automated alerting, customer portals for self service access to knowledge and request logging etc.)

·         Implementation of business processes (workflow, process definition, dependency management, task management, time management etc.)

The ability for this innovative technology to support all these applications with one product set, infraActive, is a reflection on the intellectual property that Infra has built up over the past 10 years in these market segments, and the level of innovation that has been applied to develop infraActive's rapid customisation methodology.

Innovation

infraActive is a product designed for an architecture that is totally current and forward looking. Its delivery via the Internet removes the entry cost barrier for smaller organisations, has given Infra a first to market advantage, and enables us to offer a commercially and technically superior product to those of our competitors.

In addition to its rapid Customisation Methodology, infraActive includes the following innovations:

·         enhanced user experience: infraActive has overcome the interface restrictions normally associated with browser applications with the infraActive ‘Wrapper’ technology. The technology is a totally unique element in a browser based development and has been the foundation for producing a rich user experience that includes a multiple document interface.

·         innovation in server component design for infraActive to meet the 24hr x 7day access requirements of dispersed support operations. infraActive's server based architecture combines a number of significant innovations that meet key stability, scalability and redundancy criteria.

infraActive is built from the ground up to be delivered as a ASP service - zero cost deployment and zero cost upgrading.

Performance

infraActive has passed rigorous independent testing through VeriTest Inc. in the United States, enabling certification for Windows 2000 Server, and leading to Infra Corporation becoming Australia’s first Microsoft Gold Partner for Software Products. The certification guarantees an overall smoother deployment for Infra’s clients, and the confidence that the infraActive application works correctly.

Since its launch, infraActive has had a considerable uptake amongst Infra’s existing client base and new clients, in both local and international markets. infraActive has enabled large organisations such as NSW Police to roll out support and processes in a way that would have been cost prohibitive using client-server technology.

Potential

The market potential for infraActive can be analysed from both a geographical and market segment viewpoint. To date, infraActive has achieved good results in the Australian market, specifically in the IT infrastructure support market segment. Infra’s Australian product sales have experienced a 100% growth against the previous year as a direct result of releasing infraActive. The Australian market size for infraActive is limited, specifically because the product has been designed for large blue chip corporations.

The US market conservatively has 100 times the number of large corporations that fit infraActive’s target market. Add to this the other market segments that the product can address (call centers and business process automation), and the potential for breaking into the Japanese market with the Japanese version of infraActive, Infra is confident that the product has huge potential.

infraActive’s innovation and potential has been recognized by both AusIndustry, who awarded Infra Corporation a research grant to develop the application, and Microsoft, who named infraActive the Asia-Pacific regional winner for the CRM Solution for 2001 in its Certified Partner awards.

Infra Corporation has received recognition under the Australian Commonwealth Government Endorsed Supplier Arrangement (ESA), assisting the company’s entry into government organizations. To qualify for the ESA, Infra was required to demonstrate a record of successful deliveries, financial viability, compliance with Commonwealth Government policies, product and service compliance with agreed industry standards, and a role in stimulating the development of the Australian IT industry.

In addition to regional offices in Los Angeles and London, and an established global network of partners, Infra has actively consolidated its partnerships during 2001 with the aim of further expanding our international markets. Most recently these have included a partnership with EDS, and the appointment of new distributors in Malaysia.

We are advised that Infra is the only Australian company selected by JETRO—the Japan External Trade Organisation—to exhibit in Japan’s Techno Business Forum 2002, designed to assist the entry of IT companies that offer “excellent new technology, products, and services that are unique in the Japanese market” into partnerships with Japanese companies. These partnerships are assisted by the continuing development of a Japanese language version of infraActive.
