Innovation

Intralogic is a solution that proves Knowledge Management can be easy and affordable. The solution is 7 fully integrated core applications and 20 other fully integrated application components in 1 seamless solution. 

To provide the most flexibility and openness for our customers, Intralogic utilises worldwide standard web and database technologies by Microsoft and Macromedia's java based platform. It Is 100% browser based, template and database driven and can be easily used by anyone without any technical skills required. The solution is designed for medium to large organisations with 50 to 3000 employees and will scale well above this number.

Some Technical and Business specifics of Intralogic Innovations are:

Community approach to knowledge management. Information across the entire site including content, documents, web pages, forms, people, chat rooms, forums can be associated (linked) to one or more communities by a simple click of a button. A community is an association (grouping) of information of like kind that may be based around formal business units, departments, projects, teams, locations or more informal associations like social groups, news, events, activities, policies & procedures, etc. This community approach allows for an extremely intuitive navigation that provides quick and secured access to the information users need without wasting time and money.

Multi-Site. The solution is a multi-site solution. This means that you can setup one or many knowledge base sites utilizing the same application interface. For example, you can establish a number of extranet sites for specific relationships that you have. You can create a site for your suppliers, customers, remote staff members and partners, etc. Creating a new site is achieved within 1 minute and does NOT require that you create a new database or purchase another copy of Intralogic. Information is held and partitioned in the database so that each site only has access to it's content and information. You can also share and publish content across sites from a single interface.

Enterprise Searching. Our searching facilities are the most advanced on the market. Intralogic allows you to search for information by any combination of database, metadata and free text index searching. Documents and files are automatically indexed allowing user to search for documents and files within communities or across the entire enterprise by a combined search criteria that includes database, metadata and free text search. To achieve this our solution utilises distributed index queries to the index server driven by the SQL Server Engine.

Security. Intralogic's security model is innovative, powerful yet so easy to setup or modify. Security can be assigned on 3 levels (Role, Person, Community). You can assign an Administrative Role to a Person for a specific Community (or communities). This security model is termed a distributed security model allowing Intralogic to be setup for distributed management. Here specific users are given permission to manage content, information and business processes in their own communities (areas) of information.

Intralogic can just as easy establish a centralized security model where security permissions are defined on two levels (Role, Person). This will give central authority to specific people for certain tasks across the entire site.

Our flexible security model and integrated workflow eliminates content and business process bottlenecks within the organisation.

From a Community standpoint, Intralogic provides dynamic menu of communities and sub-communities, that appear or disappear based on who is logged in and what communities they belong to. By default, users have access to all communities, but at a click of a button, users can be restricted to access their own communities and related documents, files and content that is owned by that community.

Authentication. Intralogic is a leader in automatic user authentication. The out-of-the-box solution allows for automatic user authentication against NT or ADS. Intralogic can be configured with simple database authentication or no authentication at all.

Implementation. Designed to make knowledge management easy, typically Intralogic is setup within 4 hours with a very low total cost of ownership.

Ease of Use. Not just a catchphrase, Intrlaogic is truly a system designed and used by users with no technical skills. Template driven, browser based, database driven with build it workflow approval and notification to step users through all content management and business process activities.

Training. Administrators become experts with one days training.

Price. You might not consider price as an innovation. However, Intralogic has been designed from the outset to be powerful, packed with features, AND AFFORDABLE.
