Product Description
Monet Technologies (an acronym for 'Medicine On the NET') specialises application development in integration architecture for the medical market. Monet's architecture unites applications and systems within and across organisational boundaries. With the help of intelligent message-brokers and asynchronous messaging technologies enterprises can rapidly assimilate packaged applications and reuse legacy applications (like macro objects) in a Hub-and-Spoke configuration.
The Monet architecture is unique in that it combines desktop applications with an enterprise-level highly scalable messaging network that connects all the stakeholders in healthcare. In essence, this is an ERP for Healthcare.
Our core application, called Monet Clinic, provides doctors with a single tool with which to operate every aspect of their medical practice administrative tasks:
Appointments
Workflow management
Patient billing
Electronic claim lodgement with health insurance companies
Management reporting
As well as clinical tasks:
Comprehensive electronic patient histories
Prescriptions
Clinical Pathways
Document Management
Decision support (diagnosis, allergic warnings)
Patient Information Sheets
Monet Clinic boasts a high degree of integration, providing all the needs of a business doctor's surgery in a single homogeneous package, enhancing their ability to provide patients with prompt and effective treatment. Careful design and integration eliminates the logistical issues around practices operating numerous different products from different suppliers.
Medical centers of any size can use Monet Clinic. Its primary design goal is to provide seamless integration and ease of operation for both single user and large-scale enterprise environments.
Monet Integrated Clinic is completely developed in Australia with the by local physicians.

Innovation
Monet Technologies has successfully implemented its enterprise-grade database and communication applications in Australia's leading healthcare corporations.
Monet has built the largest healthcare network in Australia, powered by more than 120 Microsoft SQL Servers.
From the point of view of a patient's medical history, the Healthcare market can be viewed as an enormous archipelago. A great mass of tiny, disconnected islands of information. Typically, the responsibility of ensuring the correctness and timeliness of this data is left to the least qualified of all parties in the healthcare system; the patient themselves.
From the government's point of view, the difficulty of accessing up to date patient medical records results in great expense. When faced with the difficulty of accessing historical data, Doctors simply re-run expensive diagnostic tests rather than attempt to find the 'needle in the haystack'.
Monet has answered this need though our XML-based messaging applications. Through universal integration architecture, doctors can now access up to the minute patient data, irrespective of where the original data resides.
For example, a patient who lives in Melbourne goes vacation on the Gold Coast and requires medical treatment, the Monet Integrated Care messaging applications will enable the treating doctor work on the latest copy of the patient's data, and automatically publish it back to the patient's usual doctor.
Healthcare business processes are intensely paper based with doctors slow to take up computer technology. Through it's messaging technologies, Monet provides a vehicle which provides the potential for tremendous social benefits offered by greater access to health-related data.

Performance
Prior to the success of Monet Technologies clinic applications, the digital healthcare market was dominated by antiquated systems, running on flat-file database structures, developed by medical practitioners in their spare time.
It is into this somewhat cottage industry that Monet introduced its highly regarded modern architecture for digital patient records. Monet's enterprise-grade, n-tier applications designed to be highly scalable and robust have displaced the previous market leader.
In recent years, there has been a trend towards consolidation of medical practices. This has lead to an exponential increase in the volume of data handled by a typical practice. Consequently, Monet has seised the opportunity to replace yesterdays small scale applications with it's high performance and scalable suite of applications.
Importantly, Monet has been able to boost the throughput of our applications by successfully integrating the Microsoft desktop and SQL back-end with our high performance Unix based middleware engine.
This XML based middleware component works as a message broker and tightly integrates the two environments, successfully bridging the traditional divide between Microsoft Windows and Unix operating systems.
The resultant network application delivers the best of both worlds, with highly functional and friendly user interfaces at the front end with class-leading scalability and reliability at the back end. In real world tests, have shown that Monet technology has resulted in lowering typical response times from over a minute into the sub-second range.

Potential
Monet Technologies has been developing applications specifically for the healthcare market since 1998. Our applications are built exclusively on a core set Microsoft technologies including Visual Studio, SQL Server and .NET.
From the outset, our Sydney-based development team has been delivering world-class enterprise-grade applications for sale in North America and key Asia-Pacific markets including Hong Kong and Singapore.
Our forward thinking architecture and standards-based design approach has enabled us to serve the needs of all our clients, who cover a diverse set of geographies and languages.
This approach has been bolstered by successful collaboration with a key international channel partners including Hewlett Packard, Philips and Siemens.
Domestically, the largest corporations in healthcare have fuelled their drive toward business transformation through the enthusiastic adoption of our complete suite of products and services. Migrating to Monet's applications and away from their typically very old, small scale, uncontrollable and unreliable applications have yielded measurable improvements in ROI, profitability and patient care.
For an example of a major corporate transformation through Monet software, please visit http://www.ipnet.com.au The Independent Practitioner's has adopted our technology across their entire enterprise, comprising over 1,000 Doctors and 2,000 support staff. This also represents Australia's largest installation of SQL Server.
Our success in Australia is underlined by the fact that every year, over 6.5 million Australians receive their healthcare services through one of Monet's applications.
