The founding developers of Cisco are accredited with creating early routers, they did this by inventing a management system for data to flow between computers in different locations. Another important thing to reference is time management in computers. This can easily be seen in Microsoft products such as the task scheduler in windows or of more relevance, programs like Microsoft ISA Server for the management of its policies.

As workplaces evolve, people are requiring more dynamic, interactive and cross platform solutions. Future systems need to be rethought and designed with these conditions in mind. Corporate networks need to be able to quickly adjust to these changing conditions to maintain peak performance, and focus on the flexible needs of users.

WebTraf has been designed with these factors in mind. WebTraf is an evolutionary and revolutionary improvement as we now bring this "Quality of Service" to the user level with what we call interactive architecture. Essentially this is a live shifting delivery of service that can respond to the changing needs of networks by not only recognising the requirements of different computers, WebTraf additionally recognises users or groups of users in real time and adjusts accordingly.

It is built on a known and trusted firewall for which we have created a new and powerful interactive management, control and reporting interface which can be applied by group (machines and or users), section, Machine or user and with control by date and time of day.

WebTraf can interactively and dynamically allocate bandwidth, track each terminal’s internet activity and report this information to management terminals and users in “real time”.

WebTraf’s screens are viewable on any Operating System supporting an Html or text based web browser, thus no software is necessary to be installed on any terminal (although optional applications are supported). These screens include individually generated welcome pages for the end users/customers that informs them of their amount of time online, cost and Megs used in real time with additional tools to restrict there connection time or session cost and a current statement of their account. Optionally they can also be given access to a walled garden facility.

The management screens give you complete real time control over all aspects of your network and WebTraf automates the search for machines on your network.

Exhaustive fault, tolerance and stability testing with in depth ongoing research as to administrators, technicians, customer and or users RE: feed back on ease of use, satisfaction, information/services they seek, the delivery and the mediums provided to achieve this.

This has been performed at our retail premises of Gamer's Valhalla and then in Burnett Interactive, and finally with introduction into a complex network in the Queensland Government funded iLab's facility in Brisbane. (Expansion of host sites will increase throughout 2004)

Innovative control of bandwidth with a novel and new technique offering management solutions, all in real time and in a multiple of configuration options that can change on the fly. "Truly interactive, and dynamic".

WebTraf has a transparency option (Cloaking). This enables it to be installed on a network without any reconfiguring of the network and it will be invisible to any computer on the network. In this mode it can also be removed without the need to alter any other computer/device on the network. The following picture shows an example application with Cloaking managing multiple gateways.

It can manage /control up to 23 subnets from 1 standard PC with 6 PCI slots and it is stackable i.e. One running behind the other and so on. The following picture shows the way our location is managed, although diverse applications and configurations are possible with WebTraf.

During our last speed test (Performed internally at Gamers Valhalla) Running in a standard Intell MMX 266 with 128 meg of SD Ram on a 100 mbs network under the maximum sustainable load with continued throughput (70mbs) WebTraf has zero packet loss at 100% accuracy. (A computer of this limited speed can easily handle up to 30 or more Computers.)

In a small computer such as this WebTrafs performance is quite remarkable however we believe that with some additional development we will be able to double this performance. In addition we have applications in mind that will enable WebTraf to track and operate efficiently on networks of any speed.

Why would an Enterprise level solution come from development within the Computer Retail/Entertainment industry you might ask?

The answer to this is very straight forward, as the transfer of Information, communication and gaming functions involved within computer entertainment are activities that can place networks under the greatest load, and it does not stretch the imagination to realise the likelihood of this happening.

Add these factors to a creative environment, and include the need for a very clear understanding of the usage and accountancy from within a retail entity, and the scene was already primed for a break through technology like WebTraf.

We are excited about our business and proud of the fact that it is being built in regional Australia. Our Wide Bay area has Australia's highest level of youth unemployment. We are confident that WebTraf will be successful and contribute to encouraging local young people to remain in this beautiful area and develop world class software where housing is affordable and lifestyle is excellent.

Apart from one small government grant to enable us to showcase WebTraf in Taiwan, we have funded this enterprise from our own resources. It has been difficult to support a growing family and develop a new product whilst running an existing business. However, everyone involved in this enterprise places significant value in the balance between family life, work and education and we are confident that the business will be successful.

We have been included in a trade missions to New Zealand and Taiwan with the assistance of AUSTRADE (the Australian Government Trade Commission), the DSD (Queensland Department of State Development). Also, we have made a successful application through the Qld IIB (Information Industries Bureau) for the ITSAP (International Tradeshow Assistance Program). Our funding was presented to us during a visit to our store by Mr Paul Lucas the Queensland Minister for Information Innovation and Economy who also had some very complementary comments about our enterprise on ABC radio. This funding resulted in our participation in a trade mission to Taiwan in Mid October 2003 and from which we are currently engaged in communications and undergoing examination by some of the countries largest System Integrators and Manufacturer

We have additionally received expressions of interest Thailand, Great Britain and the USA

WebTraf's eventual potential (with the assistance of appropriate investment capital) for export income will be of national benefit

WebTraf was a successful applicant in the Australian Micro Business Awards and we have also received GITC Accreditation to sell within the Queensland State Government.
