Product Description

Bright Software mobility platform is an end-to-end out-of-the-box product that enables organisations with field force to implement mobility solutions. It simplifies the application development costs by reducing the development time and also the skill set required for developing any field force automation solutions (service, sales, health etc.).

The platform is consisted of the following products/tools.

BrightBuilder™ : Rapid application development tool that reduces the application development drastically. It is a visual drag-and-drop mobile application development environment. It produces XML based application definitions.

BrightForms™ : It is the intelligent digital forms engine. It processes and renders the XML forms into a GUI based application on the mobile devices (PDAs, laptops, tablet PCs etc.). It allows the user to work offline while working remotely, or it can operate in “always-on” mode thin client mode. BrightForms™ can communicate with BrightServer™ over a LAN, WiFi, Bluetooth, GSM, GPRS or 3G networks using Web Services (SOAP).

BrightServer™ : It is the mobile gateway product that enables secure access to any backend system for providing mobility extensions to the remote field users. It is a scalable product that runs on multiple operating systems.

BrightIntegrator™ : It is the backend tool that allows easy integration mechanisms to interface into backend systems including legacy systems.

BrightServer™ products is based on J2EE compliant application servers that can on small PC to a large UNIX box to handle small and large number of users in the field. Because of open industry standards, the product architecture allows easy integration into other systems ERP, CRM and legacy systems via BrightIntegrator.

Our platforms are currently being used by from medium size organisations to large corporates in the field. Bright Software customers include Citizen Watches, Crown Castle, Revlon, Transfield Services, Pronto etc. IBM BCS uses our product set to create mobility solutions for its customers.

Potential

Bright Software product set has been designed and developed with the international markets are in mind. From the start, he product has been architected to use double byte (Unicode) characters. All the products have the National Language Support (NLS) built-in from ground-up. We would like to get the product set to a very robust and mature levels before we push for the overseas markets. The quality and performance are the most important aspects of the product set. 

We have been quite successful last 12-15 months in the local market where we work companies from the quite a large spectrum and in different verticals. We have close to 10 value-added-reseller agreements in place.

Large international companies do use and/or support us which will be very valuable in terms of international market expansion. They include IBM, Intel, Sun Microsystems, BEA, and Oracle.

Our vision is export our product and technology to overseas. We have already a customer in New Zealand, and are currently working with Australian Business Limited and Austrade to explore and program the overseas expansion.
