Testimonials

Nigel Watson, Architect Advisor, Microsoft Australia

“INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH .NET is the quickest way to get your head around the myriad of available building blocks for architecting enterprise-strength .Net systems. This is a well-crafted course that combines industry best practices with the extensive experience of Readify's course leaders - all of whom are software development community leaders in their own right.

The result is an incredibly useful course that's highly recommended for anyone who builds, or wants to build, enterprise applications in .Net".

Faisal Alamgir, EDS Consulting Services

“INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH .NET course structure was excellent. It plumbed the depths of some more advanced topics and focused on design. The presenters were well versed in the subject matter and the course also highlighted the maturing of the .Net platform, firstly in the availability of code blocks and patterns. Secondly, in the ability to create robust, reusable designs and assemblies which are scalable and can be deployed enterprise-wide.”

Innovation

INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH .NET makes Developers aware of enterprise requirements and the problems they face when building enterprise level applications. INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH .NET educates Developers how to approach these problems; provides them with the tools to aid effective resolution and enables them to become conscious of why they chose certain solutions the impact of their decisions.

Performance

INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH .NET has been produced by Readify’s consultants, who are world thought leaders, and follows Microsoft’s “best patterns and practises”. Unlike other training solutions, INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH .NET provides Developers with sample code from real world applications. These samples have already been proven to meet all enterprise requirements. This enables Developers to immediately implement this code into their enterprise applications, reducing “time-to-market”.

Potential

Microsoft Australia, recognising the premium content and value INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH .NET represents for their senior developer and architect communities, in conjunction with the Vic.Net cluster, introduced Readify to Learning Solutions product managers in Microsoft Corp (Redmond USA). Subsequently, Readify were invited to deliver INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH .NET to senior executives from their Learning Solutions, Patterns and Practices, and Architecture Evangelist groups, who unanimously insisted the course be made available to their international developer communities.

Readify and Microsoft Corp agreed to repurpose INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH .NET as an eLearning offering, which will be promoted and distributed by Microsoft Learning to their Senior Developers and Architects internationally. The content is also updated to align with the major new Enterprise Library release from Microsoft’s Patterns and Practices group.

Production of the INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH .NET eLearning version is scheduled to run until June 2005and is budgeted at A$750,000, and scheduled to run until June 2004 with the creation of 4 new roles within Readify. Readify royalties are estimated at $1m per annum for the next 3 years.

This is a Multinational win, with our IP to be distributed globally in training Programmers world wide.

This breakthrough agreement demonstrates how small Australian IT companies can compete in the international marketplace by producing premium, intellectually based offerings, be they curriculum, packaged solutions, or component based technologies.

This agreement also opens up new contacts and channels for, not only Readify, but other members of the Vic.Net community to promote their unique IP to Microsoft Corp and or their international partner and customer channels.

Microsoft Australia and the Victorian Government are to be congratulated on their Vic.Net cluster initiative and support. Vic.Net provided Readify the contacts and encouragement for us to confidentially pursue this opportunity knowing we had the back up resources and experience should we require them to negotiate and or deliver a favourable outcome.
