The Product Graphics Management Suite is world-class software as attested by its take-up by Adobe as the engine for its interactive 3D graphics capabilities for the free and ubiquitous Acrobat Reader.

The software meets a significant business need and its innovativeness is evidenced through its adoption by major capital goods manufacturers who need to accelerate time to market, increase revenue and competitive advantage, and reduce product lifecycle costs.

The judges scored Right Hemisphere’s product extremely highly in all three categories of innovation, performance and potential. This is a wonderful example of success through innovation and business acumen from “down under” in this case New Zealand.

Product Graphics Management (PGM) is proving a valuable new approach for capital goods manufacturers who need to accelerate time to market, increase revenue and competitive advantage, and reduce product lifecycle costs. Our PGM software suite bridges the massive gap between product development and publishing and automatically creates product graphics for communication materials like advanced RFQs, 3D Product Configurators, Parts Catalogues, Electronic Technical Manuals, Technical Documentation, Interactive Training, Embedded Maintenance Systems and more, all from accurate, up to date engineering data.

The Right Hemisphere PGM product suite combines a server based platform (Deep Server) that combines heterogeneous 2D and 3D graphic assets, stored over a huge range of vendor formats, into a single repository. In particular, Deep Server automates the process of translating, transforming complex 3D CAD engineering data into a lightweight format suitable for downstream application. Furthermore Deep Server produces up-to-date graphic derivatives (for example, line art illustrations of an exploded view of parts in complex machinery, suitable for technical publication) that automatically update to reflect engineering changes.

3D assets can be further edited, refined and extended using our thick client tools (Deep Exploration, Deep Creator); then repurposed for wide distribution in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Deep Publish) documents, over the web, and natively included as interactive 3D components of Acrobat PDF documents. In fact, Adobe has licensed Right Hemisphere technology to provide 3D capabilities for the free and ubiquitous Acrobat Reader.

Right Hemisphere’s PGM Software Suite is progressing rapidly towards realizing our vision of making 3D as easy to use and as widespread as digital text. Our technology, is not only innovative in its own right, but also supports our customers with their own business innovation. Customers are now able, with our PGM Suite, to solve some of their longstanding business problems in new ways. By unlocking CAD engineering data and synchronizing downstream assets across the enterprise we make it possible to produce interactive real-time 3D training, photorealistic visualisation, dynamic parts catalogues and technical manuals before a new product has even been built. This delivers a huge business advantage in reducing time-to-market, promoting asset reuse rather than duplication, automating.

Through our innovation with Adobe and Acrobat Reader we have introduced global adoption of real-time 3D viewing capability through the PDF format. This creates tremendous opportunity to innovate further with our PGM suite in authoring 3D PDF – to this end a PDF publishing module is nearing release.

We are continually innovating in providing new ways that data, previously confined to engineering, can be leveraged in other ways. One example of this is with PMI (product manufacturing information) data – a recent addition to highend CAD systems that we will soon empower our wide user base through our PMI module.

Our core 3D technology is innovative in its own right – we have developed unique algorithms for high-end visualization, complex 3D model repair and reduction, lightweight 3D compressed file format, etc.

Enterprise customers are our target market, and we have had considerable success with the leading automotive, aerospace, and military organizations in the world. Repeatable success in this arena, as we have experienced, demands (and demonstrates) very high levels of performance, reliability, and support. Our software forms the key foundation for many critical workflows.
