Next was a move to the GEC Group where he progressed from Systems Analyst to Computer Centre Manager. This period involved various hardware platforms and application areas, plus business areas ranging from light manufacturing, through heavy electrical engineering and nuclear power engineering, to space and defence. Andrew’s next move was to British Leyland (Austin Rover) where he started as Manager of Systems and Technology for the Components Division. This role included leading the New Technology Steering Committee embracing robotics and advanced manufacturing systems. His next role with Austin Rover was a 2-year expatriate assignment to Australia as part of the team restructuring Leyland Australia. On return to the UK Andrew became Manager International Systems for Austin Rover, with responsibility for IT activities in mainland Europe, Japan and USA. In 1987 Andrew and his family emigrated to Australia. He started with Sunbeam Corporation as IS Manager, followed by Group IS Manager for Pioneer International. Next position was IS Manager for NSW Public Works, followed by Group IS Manager for James Hardie Industries. In 1996 Andrew established Panjuteroy Pty Limited as a firm of Management and Technology Consultants, servicing clients in both the public and private sectors. Andrew is a Member of the Chartered Management Institute and a Member of the Institute for the Management of Information Systems. He is Chair of the Western Sydney IT Cluster. |
