He has held senior management positions in multi-national corporations and government over the last 20 years advising on the many technological challenges and legal issues confronting the IT and the Telecommunication Industry. He has acted in some of Australia's largest IT and communication systems acquisitions and implementations, outsourcing tenders and contracts. In the eCommerce arena, he has assisted organizations to implement and operate many of Asia Pacific's most popular websites and portals, and to establish safeguards against cyber-hacking. Anthony's career traversed legal private practice, multinational organisations in both IT vendor and customer capacities, internet and digital publishing. Most recently, he was the CIO for the Australian Tourist Commission spearheading the organization through the era of Web marketing, promoting Australia as an international tourist destination during the Sydney 2000 Olympics. He has a Master of Laws in Media, Communications and Technology Law from UNSW and Bachelors of Law and Computer Science from Monash University. Anthony founded the New Zealand Society for Computers and the Law in 1987 and is also a committee member of the NSW Society for Computers and the Law. He was also a founding committee member of the NZ Law Society, Technology & Law Committee which he served for 8 years. He has chaired and lectured at numerous conferences and seminars and is Chairman of the NSW Australian Computer Society. |
