Chris Glynn is the current Deputy Consul-General and Director of Trade & Investment Promotion at the British Consulate-General in Sydney. From 1998 to 2001 Chris was the Head of Commercial Section in the British Mission in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Prior to that he was Head of the UK Commercial operation at the British Embassy in the Philippines. From 1993 to 1995 he was one of the Foreign Office spokesmen in the News Department of the Foreign Office in Whitehall. He has also served as H.M. Consul in Portugal, and other posts include Fiji, Germany, Sweden, Cote d'Ivoire and Egypt. Chris is married to Wilma, a former obstetrician. His interests include good food, most sports, particularly tennis, and meeting people of different nationalities. |
