Overview

As Principal for Xon Xoff, David McKeague is responsible for the building of Xon Xoff as a consulting practice. Xon Xoff engages with technology companies. David has over 18 years professional experience with technology companies in the commercialisation of technology for the Information and Communications markets.

David’s passion is the creation of new ventures, international commercialisation and technology consulting. This covers all aspects of product commercialisation including business strategy, product innovation / development, driving a global sales function, market research and brand generation. 

Background

Recent assignments which David has led include the commercialisation of MMOG infrastructure, a WLAN / OFDM patent, Open Source Strategy, HPC Strategic Market Review, US capital raising in wireless communications, broadband infrastructure strategy, a communications infrastructure product launch, incubating a satellite based tracking business and building out a trial for a 3G Wireless rich media startup in Japan.

David has held executive management positions in both engineering development and business development. He is experienced in all phases from start-up to revenues of over $100m pa. He has sales and marketing experience in 8 countries across USA, Asia and Europe with a particular emphasis on competing in North America.

David previously held the position of ADI’s Systems group General Manager Marketing where he had direct responsibility for Sales and Marketing in excess of $100m per annum. Systems group delivered advanced communications infrastructure and command software systems. Prior to this he worked at Silicon Graphics in HPC and Graphics evangalism and also was responsible for aggressive growth in the Australian channels sales system.

David has also worked at Wormald leading the business development and system engineering in the Advanced Systems Engineering business and also with Comalco building real time control systems at Boyne Alumimium smelter.
