He has held a number of strategic positions in Multinational Corporations including, General Manager, Information Technology, Telecommunications and e Business for Sony. Under Garry's strategic direction, Sony continued to utilise technology to clearly differentiate itself in the Asia Pacific Region and on a number of strategic global projects including e Business direction. Over the past seven (7) years, Garry has held the Chief Information Officer position at Corporate Express Australia, where he is chartered to create, deploy and synergies the strategic advantage for the Organisation through the effective utilisation of appropriate enabling technologies. During this period, he continues to focus on particular areas of technologies including; reinventing the Organisation's e Business strategy, the re-engineering of the e Procurement Solution - especially in the area of customer and marketplace integration. Garry has also written, assessed and deployed the IP strategic direction to continue to strengthen the Organisation's position in the marketplace. This technology will deliver sustainable competitive advantage in the Customer Contact Centre Solutions- the expanding arena of customer facing business units. Garry has also seen the technology world from a consultant's perspective. During a period of seven (7) years, Garry provided consultancy/professional services to a number of medium to large Australian organisations in the corporate and government sectors. Garry is passionate about his continuous learning journey and is a mentor to a number of rising individuals across a range of industries. Academically, Garry holds an MBA from the University of New England, is degree qualified in Accounting, Marketing and Information Technology. More recently, Garry graduated as a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Garry continues to provide a great service to the community at large through non-for-profit organisation, willing sharing his knowledge and experience with these organsiations and their associates. Garry was also appointed to the Corporate Express Board in 2002 |

GARRY WHATLEY
Garry Whatley commenced has challenging career in the Information Management and Technology Industry some twenty four (24) years ago. His accumulated knowledge and extensive experience spanned over this period of time, has positioned him as a forefront leader in the Industry and is highly recognised and respected by the suppliers as well as his peers in the Industry at large.
