Financial Services and Wealth Management
In
1987 I was in an Ernst and Young team that developed a data model for the
Wealth Management industry using Information Engineering. The data model
was used by Reuters to develop a Portfolio Management System for National
Mutual, AMP and Perpetual Trustees.
In
1990 I became the Project Manager for the core systems for Perpetual Funds
Management who implemented Hi Portfolio and used RBC as Global Custodian.
We made a bit of a splash when PFM was created and the Industrial Share
Fund was heavily promoted through a variety of Financial Planning
networks.
For
Lend Lease Corporate Services I managed a series of large corporate super
funds migration to MLC and State Street
At
the CBA I was Project Office Manager for Equity and Financial Markets,
Corporate Finance, Risk Management and Financial Control. I was part of a
management team which completed a complete overhaul of global front
office, middle office, and back office operations, data warehouses,
program management and governance including Commonwealth Securities.
We
outsourced our global payments operation to BNY which was a great success
and I was the Program Manager for Commonwealth Securities Stock-Broking
Systems still in production today.
After
being outsourced to EDS I left and joined DMR in the UK for 3 years
including a year or so permanently in The Bank of New York (London).
On
our return to Australia I have been making a living as a sub-contractor
and steadily building my profile below.
