Ian has been the CEO of Hymans Asset Management since 1986. Ian specializes in providing sophisticated asset valuation, consulting and disposal services to the banking and finance sectors as well as the insolvency profession.

During this period he has held several positions on committees at the Institute of Chartered Accountants including the New South Wales Education Committee.  He has also been an active board member of the Auctioneers and Valuers Association until 1999.

Ian has been actively involved in the valuation and auction area of the business since its inception in 1984 which followed on from numerous business valuations whilst working in the Accounting profession.

As one would expect Ian’s valuation and auction experiences include an enormous range of assets including software and IT to trucks and motor vehicles. Clients range from merchant banks and private equity funds to insolvency practitioners and insurance brokers.

Ian has carried out valuations all over Australia and New Zealand and has supervised major assignments covering assets throughout the Asia Pacific region.
