John is currently providing independent Information Technology consulting services to small and medium sized businesses.

John is able to draw on over 37 years experience in IT. The experience has covered many facets of IT, including programming in COBOL and LINC; ISO 9000 Lead Auditing; Project Management; and Operations Management. This experience has been mainly within Australia, but includes an extended assignment in Taiwan.

John has a Diploma of Business Studies (Preston Institute of Technology 1976), a Graduate Diploma Management Systems (Swinburne University 1994) and a Masters of Information Systems (Swinburne University 1996). John has participated in three Advisory Boards at Swinburne University, for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. He is currently the Executive Secretary of U-Cubed, the United Unisys Users (Australia) association.

In his previous role John was responsible for the operation of the Regional Data Centre for Ford, located in Broadmeadows, a suburb of Melbourne. This is a 7 x 24 operation that provides Unisys mainframe services for Ford Australia, Ford New Zealand and Ford Credit in many locations. John was also responsible for the operational aspects of the desktop within Ford Australia. This involved all support, including the Help desk, for the PC's and the file and print servers.
