John Bostelman has operated in the Australian IT&T industry for over 25 years. During that time he has traversed the full gambit of occupations from Business Analyst to CEO of a multi-national software and services company. His prevailing interest has been in determining the best way to obtain business benefits from complex technologies. He has also focussed on the human costs and benefits of employing technology.

Currently John is seeking developing technology businesses in need of his broad expertise, which he is prepared to donate in return for earned participation when those businesses become successful.

He has successfully developed a number of medium sized software and services businesses, which produced Australian developed software or were international products that required extensive local support and tailoring.

In order to achieve some outstanding successes with these ventures, he has raised investment capital, negotiated major international software distribution contracts and won many sales contracts against iconic industry players.

He has also worked for well-known larger corporations including Tektronix, Apple, Epson, Oracle and Candle Corporation.

In recent years John’s expertise has been applied to the area of software tools for Application Development, Quality Assurance, Applications Integration and Operations Management. He has been recognised as expert in each of these areas and has presented many talks and papers on these topics.

In this period his roles have included Sales and Marketing Management, Technical Management, General Management and Chief Executive Officer.

John has been directly responsible for the sales and delivery of some of the largest development projects in Australia and New Zealand and many other successful projects of various sizes. Not only has he been frequently rewarded with awards and bonuses for over-achieved sales targets, but his customers have won recognition for the business benefits they have achieved in deploying the systems John and his colleagues have provided to or built for them.
