In his present role, Louis consults in, and evangelizes an end-to-end, lifecycle approach to systems and software development that stresses a simple governance framework recognizing the reality of multiple interdependencies between components of the enterprise architecture. He has worked with Telelogic, a software tool vendor, and held the role of Chief Technologist that helped create the vision for Telelogic's Automated Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution. Louis has helped numerous organizations rapidly deploy an effective development infrastructure that combined processes and tools to streamline their product development and improve team productivity. He has presented at numerous industry conferences and published several papers on software development best practice. Working internationally with clients in the US, Europe and Asia/Pacific, he has remained active in Australian industry forums and is currently Vice-President of Process for ASMA/SQA having headed the Sydney Software Process Improvement Network (SPIN) group for two years. In 2007, Louis completed his doctorate on the planning and management of complex software-intensive systems. This research aims to provide simpler and more pragmatic approaches to IT governance by integrating key aspects of accepted disciplines including requirements, change, configuration and project management. His efforts to date have resulted in a generalized release planning technique for the management of complex product lines and component-based architectures. Louis also has a BSc (Hons, Class I) with Graduate Diplomas in Computer Science and Education.
