In his current role as Director of Gratex International in Australia, Mike is leading the Asia division of a global company specializing in software development and multimedia, specialising in Microsoft based solutions. Gratex International is one of the world’s most advanced companies in enterprise solutions based on a Microsoft platform. Leveraging a global resource base of more than 200 experts in consulting, project management and software development, Gratex International is working in Australia with major multinationals to develop tailor made solutions. Born in the Netherlands, Mike completed a degree in Information Technology and Business at Edinburgh University in Scotland, and consequently lived in Japan, Netherlands, South Africa and Italy in various IT Management and Project management roles, before moving to Sydney in 1997 to take on the role as Asia Pacific IT Director for Quest International. In 2 years he lead a drive to develop and implement a new standard operating environment implemented across Asia, trained the user base across 12 countries, consolidated IT support, and implemented a new ERP system to drive supply chain improvement in Asia. In his 3 years in Sydney, Mike and Sylvia have developed a passion for Sydney and spend their free time surfing and playing golf. Even after this short time, they can no longer imagine living anywhere else ! |
