Patrick Lockley is the General Manager, Design and Engineering for Tenix Defence. Patrick joined Tenix in 1999 and is responsible for the development and performance of its Engineering capability and the advancement of technology in Tenix Defence businesses. Patrick, who holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering in Communications and Electronics (from Sydney University), has pursued a career in the Defence industry for nearly 30 years, including four years in Britain developing NATO ESM systems. He has performed design, project and systems engineering in broad fields of navy tactical simulators with EMI, naval ESM with Racal UK, army tactical and strategic communications with Racal Australia, submarine combat systems with Rockwell and aerospace C4I systems with Boeing. Prior to joining Tenix, Patrick was Engineering Director at Rockwell Systems Australia and Engineering General Manager in Boeing Australia.

He has served on CRC boards and many University advisory councils, particularly in their Systems Engineering departments.

Born in Sydney, Patrick also holds a postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from UTS, is a graduate of the Defence Industry Study Course and recently achieved recognition against the new Engineers Australia stage 3 competencies for Leadership and Management. In his spare (engineering) time, he also performs as the National President of SESA, the Systems Engineering Society of Australia and is a keen member of INCOSE.
