During his working life some of Peter's achievements have been: 1. Head of IBM's money market operations. 2. Joined as an Advisor, was promoted and subsequently ran, Australia's largest Futures Broking operation 3. Set up A Foreign Exchange/Money Broking operation (dealing only with the banks) which he built up and subsequently sold to an English/German Money Broking Firm. 4. Formed a consortium that purchased an effectively bankrupt Public Company, restructured the Company and relisted it on the ASX. Both 2 and 3 above involved Peter running businesses with 3 involving the whole capital raising process so Peter knows what it is to be a start-up. Peter's role at Pacific Capital is in the corporate advisory area. In particular in the area we are interested to-day his work involves liaison with SMEs and investors, both Angel and Venture Capitalists. This includes reviewing SME capital raising proposals and presenting some of those proposals to investors and, where the investor expresses interest, assisting the SME in negotiations with the investor. Peter's comment is that the "real work starts when an investor expresses interest in a deal. |
