The management core competency is marketing, based on a scientific foundation of physics and chemistry that has lead to an interest in electronic commerce, specifically in electronic cataloging and customer relationship management structures. The foundations for the corporate career started in marketing, moved into technical sales and then rapidly into export sales activity with lens manufacturing machinery to Japan and Eastern Europe, petrochemical equipment to SE Asia, automotive OE supply to the USA and one small highlight automotive accessories to Iceland and Finland. As a CEO in manufacturing activity focused on sales, contracts, tenders, quotations, supply and production negotiation and acquiring capability and capacity to meet the needs of customers, building areas of competitive advantage and differentiation. In more recent times as a consultant activity has been to establish operations, assist with new market entry, participate in new product development, and assist with equipment and process technology acquisition. Other consulting areas include funding applications, establishing company structures, research and strategic planning at State, Federal and institution levels. Specific products development projects cover products, processes and systems. The product range is extensive, LPG converters, electrical connection devices, turbochargers, storm water valves, acrylic automotive products, and aluminium vacuum braised condensors and evaporators. Management processes include QA adoption and process control development. Individual projects are equally diverse, including vaccination devices for cattle, composite products for transport and aerospace application and renewable energy pumps. Government Programs include COMET (Commercialisation of Emerging Technology), NSW State & Regional Development, Small Business Expansion and High Growth Business Programs, Australian Greenhouse Office, GGAP and REIP, Horticulture Australia Ltd. Cooperative Research Centre for Aerospace Structures.
